Indonesian National CommitteE on irrigation and drainage (inacid) / Komite Nasional indonesia untuk irigasi dan drainase (kni-id)
What we do
INACID brings together various stakeholders and experts from different disciplines in an international platform to address the technical, agronomic, socio-economic, environmental and managerial complexities of developing, managing and operating irrigation, drainage and flood management. The objective is to achieve sustainable agricultural water management through exchange of experiences, ideas, good practices and promote them widely among member countries and stakeholders. As a knowledge center, INACID through its technical working groups generates knowledge by collecting and compiling research data and disseminating it to all stakeholders through various channels.
Our Members
The membership of the Committee consists of several Committees representing each of the fields defined in accordance with ICID requirements and organized under the department responsible for irrigation, drainage or agricultural water management. Each committee generally consists of multidisciplinary professionals such as planners and policy makers; water managers; irrigation and agricultural engineers; research scientists and educators working in related fields. Companies, institutions and individuals can also participate in INACID activities. Currently, INACID's membership network covers more than 90% of irrigated areas in Indonesia.
